Do Facebook Ads Still Work In 2024?

Clearly, if someone on the internet says “Facebook ads don’t work any more”, then they must be right.

Right?🤔

Now, l know that you’re a smart cookie and most likely a critical thinker.

So instead of me just telling you that we run profitable Facebook ads for ourselves and our clients…

Let me just present you with 3 facts that prove that “Facebook ads don’t work any more” is a fallacy instead.

Here ya go:

1. Other businesses profitably advertise on Meta

Ok this one you can’t really argue with.

There are TONS of businesses that advertise on Meta. Profitably.

That in itself shows that Meta ads can work.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. “But does this also work for my industry?”

Which brings me to the next point…

2. Your competitors advertise on Meta

I can almost guarantee that some of your competitors are advertising on Meta.

Unless you’re first-to-market or selling some weird, super rare product like unicorn tears…

You’ll be able to find other businesses in your niche that use Meta ads.

This is where your competitor analysis comes in.

Before you start advertising, no matter which channel you use…

You should take a deep dive into your competitors’ businesses and spy on them.

Check out their ads, funnels and offers. See what you’re up against and take note of what is working for them.

Then, go ahead and do it even better.

So snoop around in your competitors’ Facebook profiles to see if they’re running any ads right now.

3. There are 3.14 BILLION daily active users on Meta

During the 3rd quarter of 2023, Meta reported that 3.14 billion people were using at least one of their platforms (FB, IG, Messenger or Whatsapp).

This is an increase from the 3.07 billion daily active users of the previous quarter.

Let those numbers sink in for a second.

There are over 8 billion people in the world. Almost 40% of the world’s population is active on Meta. DAILY.

This means that you can pay to have more eyeballs on your business.

More eyeballs = more attention = more leads = more sales.

Any business that is not taking advantage of this opportunity is leaving money on the table.

Side note: Meta is not the end-all be-all.

TikTok, YouTube, Linkedin and Google ads can be wildly effective too.

However, the one advantage Meta has right now is that the cost to advertise on their platforms is lower.

CPMs are on the rise right now but Meta still remains lower in comparison to other platforms.

Now, do you think that out of those 3.14 billion daily active Meta users, a percentage of those would be interested in what it is that you’re selling?

Exactly.

So if you know how to target your ideal client and craft native, relevant ads that grab their attention…

Then advertising on Meta is going to work for you.

Now, of course, there’s nuance to this.

You can’t just “spray and pray”, blindly put an ad up and expect money to rain from the sky overnight.

Running successful ad campaigns that generate a return on your ad spend requires skill, experience and strategy.

This is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
